Shipping Delays

Valrhona Collection cannot guarantee the exact time of delivery because the local carrier is ultimately responsible for that. Most carriers offer package delivery services from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. We advise placing your purchase early and scheduling it to arrive two or more days in advance if you are placing it for an event that has a tight deadline.

We might ship your order early to guarantee that it arrives undamaged in the event of high package volumes (particularly during holidays) or other unforeseen circumstances. Valrhona Collection retains the right, depending on operational circumstances, to arrange the shipment of your purchase sooner or later than anticipated in order to avoid delays.

Valrhona Collection disclaims all liability for delays in transit resulting from excessive package volume, inclement weather, mechanical malfunctions, strikes, natural disasters, terrorism, mis-scans by local carriers, or missing or inaccurate shipping information. Additionally, signatures are not needed to release a package. We have no control over a delivery person's decision to leave a package at an address; that decision ultimately rests with them/carrier.

Shipping Carriers

We use different shipping carriers, depending on the location and weather permitting, we make the best arrangements for your order to ship and arrive in good condition.

You will have the opportunity to choose what date you wish to receive your order on a delivery date calendar. Automatically, our system will choose the best carrier for your destination via your zip code and weight of your entire order.

Valrhona Collection disclaims all liability for shipping delays or issues resulting from the shipping carrier after the shipment has left our facilities. Even though a date has been selected for delivery, we do not guarantee that our carriers will deliver on that date. We advise placing orders well in advance to avoid any delays that may occur due to excessive package volume, inclement weather, mechanical malfunctions, strikes, natural disasters, terrorism, mis-scans by local carriers, or missing or inaccurate shipping information.

Weekends

In order to avoid having products kept in a shipping facility without climate control, we do not ship packages on weekends. We want your order to get the best care possible when shipping out of our facility.

Tracking Info Shows Cancelled

If your tracking number is displayed as cancelled, it usually indicates that a new delivery label had to be created for your order by our fulfillment team for various reasons. Your order would then have a new tracking number. Our Customer Service Team would have contacted you in case of this change. Regarding this cancelled tracking information, you could always contact our Customer Service Department if you happen to notice this message; they will be pleased to investigate and send you the most recent information. Please be aware that until our carrier scans a tracking number, it could not display any movement.

Valrhona Collection is proud of every product it sells and works hard to ensure that every item is shipped on the stated shipment date and in the best possible condition.

Even though we take various precautions to lessen the risk of transporting perishable chocolates across the nation, there are, regrettably, some factors beyond our control, like inclement weather and delays in transportation after a package ships from our facility. Therefore, there are no shipment or delivery date promises in the Shipping Carriers section that is posted on this Shipping Policy.

International Shipments

At this current time, we do not ship any orders overseas from this online store. International shipments also include the 16 U.S. Territories.

Ordering Processing Times

Orders placed by 2pm will ship the same day from our New York facility. In order to preserve your chocolate and to avoid your package staying in a warm facility during the weekend, we will have to delay some shipments:

Orders received after 2pm on Thursday will ship the following week on Monday.

Orders received after 2pm on Wednesday will only ship the following week on Monday for "two-day" and "ground" shipping methods.
